Travel bucket list
India is a must on the travel bucket list. The best way I can describe it overall is ‘an experience’. The culture and there way of life is something very unique in it’s self. It’s eye opening and it makes you appreciate the things you take for granted every day. Me and my friends visited the elephant caves in Mumbai (no actual elephants). Here we met a local guy who lived in this small island, he took us round the island and explained it’s heritage. Finally at the end of the day he showed us his home and served us some tea. His home consisted of 2 rooms a small kitchen and a living space room. His home was due to get electric throughout in a couple of months time. The excitement from the man about the electric was unbelievable, and this is something that most people take for-granted. It was a truly life chancing experience.
Top list of things you should do in India-from my personal experience
Stay in east Bambara in Mumbai- this is where most of the locals live
Visit elephant caves- the island is filled with wild monkeys
Visit Goa- Sweet lake is a must. This is a natural lake where you can swim. On one side there’s a jungle and on the other side there’s the ocean. It is the most beautiful place. You can walk there along the beach if the tide is out if not you can walk around the jungle to get there.
Enjoy the curry! It is the most amazing curry ever (not surprising).
If your looking for a break from the hostel life. Stay in the Hilton in Goa, it’s reasonably priced and it’s the most beautiful hotel. The staff are incredible and the bed is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever been in (like floating On cloud).
